Fizzy Pink Grapefruit Lemonade
Even as a kid I liked pink grapefruit. I used to dance competitively with a dance studio and we would often travel around Canada and the US for competitions. Kids and parents went away for the weekend during the spring and summer months of the year. Imagine the raucous we caused with 30-50 kids running around a hotel!! I used to think I was so fancy ordering a half grapefruit for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It used to come out with a cherry in the middle. That was the sophisticated thing to do in the 90s. Whenever I eat pink grapefruit, it reminds me of that time in my life. I built so many amazing memories.
This drink I decided to make is a little homage to my youth as a dancer. My Fizzy Pink Grapefruit Lemonade is super refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. It’s really simple to make too. Just 3 ingredients: grapefruit, maple syrup and soda water. Yumm. So pleasant on a hot summer day. I love the colour as well.
